Our Woodland Elementary 4th grade students recently had the opportunity to visit the Iron Mountain Iron Mine!

During the trip, students explored the underground mine, learned about the history of mining in the Upper Peninsula, and experienced firsthand how this industry helped shape our local communities. Field trips like this provide meaningful, hands-on learning experiences that help bring classroom lessons to life.

A big thank you to the staff at the Iron Mountain Iron Mine for making this experience both educational and memorable for our students!
