Woodland Halloween Parade Information
October 20, 2025
Dear Parents,
You are invited to view our Halloween parade at 1:15 pm on Friday, October 31st. The parade will take place outdoors along the ring road. You are welcome to bring a lawn chair to view the parade. Parents are asked to NOT wear masks and/or carry any toy weapons. Students will exit out the front door, travel down the sidewalk and take a left towards the gym. They will then follow the ring road all the way around the school. EK, K & 1st grades will reenter in the daycare door and 2nd – 4th grades will reenter through the front door. In the event of inclement weather please see the plan below.
Skate boards, roller blades, sharp objects (knives, swords & guns), or any other type of real weapons, plastic or other, are NOT permitted as part of a costume. All students are asked to bring their costumes to school in a bag and change at school in time for the parade. Face makeup is permitted. Please have your child practice putting their costume on at home as parents are discouraged to come in the building at this time.
We also ask at this time that you do not pick up your child early from class. Most classes will have a Halloween party during the last hour of the school day and the children enjoy this activity.
INCLEMENT WEATHER PLAN
In the event of inclement weather, a decision will be made by 11:30 am announcing an indoor parade. Notification will be sent out via text, email and Facebook with a link to view the parade. Parents will be able to view the entire parade at a later time, from home, as they are not permitted in the building during parade time.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call the school at (906) 779-2685.
Sincerely,
Kristina Brazeau, Principal
Bryan Johnson, Assistant Principal
